  • Hi, I’m Brian

  • Here's what I've been up to...

    (En plus d'apprendre le français!)

    Colas Inc.

    2015 - Present

    Denver, CO

In early 2015, I began working for Colas, a vertically-integrated construction company. In my role as an Infrastructure and Software Functional Coordinator and Data Analyst, I have managed several international projects across hundreds of locations. I am experienced with the full suite of Microsoft Azure products including Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI. I am continuing to improve my management skills as well as learning Python and ML data modeling.

    Tier One Technology Partners

    2013 - 2015

    Baltimore, MD

I was lucky to begin my foray into the tech world with the very bright team at Tier One, providing clients with a combination of tech and financial services. Working in the tech branch of an accounting firm provided me great insight into two different worlds. I was surrounded with great mentors. I quickly began to query SQL data and build user analytics reports. I leveraged my Linux passion projects to begin supporting and maintaining RHEL/CentOS servers and applications, as well as helping to design, implement, and maintain VMware and Veeam solutions and underlying infrastructure to solidify my technical acumen.

    University of North Texas

    2010 - 2012

    Denton, TX

I found a passion for psychology and philosophy when I was not playing in the “O’Clock” bands at UNT. During my time here, I made many lasting friendships and began turning my creative passions into a career.

    University of Northern Colorado

    2005 - 2009

    Greeley, CO

I fell in love with Colorado when I started at UNC. I was very fortunate to travel across the country for national competitions with phenomenal musicians, but I was always excited to get back. This was where my journey into the tech industry began.

  • A little more about me...

With many years experience in the manufacturing, technology, and finance industries, I am no stranger to difficult problems. I am highly motivated and continue to ask "why" until my curiosity is satisfied. On the DiSC classical profile patterns, I fall somewhere between the Creative and Developer patterns. I am adventurous and outgoing, strong-willed and self-reliant.

I spend my time between Denver and Boulder. I love the juxtaposition of the two cities and their different offerings. It is hard to compete with an area that has such a vibrant tech industry and offers an incredibly diverse array of outdoor activities; hiking and skiing, camping, fishing.

I am very thankful for where I have found myself and the wonderful woman that has agreed to share this journey with me.
